Hi, I'm Fern, the founder of Alté Era.

I've spent nearly two decades working behind the scenes in fashion, from design and product development to digital innovation and sustainability. The biggest thing I've learned, is that changing fashion takes more than changing what we buy.

I entered this industry because I wanted to make a difference. I wanted to understand how fashion works, why we do things the way we do, and what it would take to do them differently.

Along the way, I've seen incredible craftsmanship, creativity, and innovation. I've also seen the waste, disconnect, and missed opportunities that come from an industry built around producing more, faster.

I believe fashion is capable of something far more meaningful.

But meaningful change doesn't happen in isolation. It happens when we challenge familiar ways of thinking, share what we know, and bring different perspectives together.

That's why I created Alté Era.

A space where industry expertise meets curiosity. Where traditional craftsmanship and emerging technologies belong in the same conversation. And where businesses and individuals alike can explore what a more thoughtful future for fashion could look like.

Through The Foundry, I work with businesses to rethink how fashion is developed, created, and brought to life. Through The Alté Society, I'm building a community for people who want to look beyond the surface of fashion, exchange ideas, and be part of what comes next.

I don't believe we need to lose what makes fashion exciting to make it better. Quite the opposite. I believe understanding it more deeply opens up entirely new possibilities.

Fashion has a legacy. What we choose to leave behind is up to us.
